Parents can help their children through a challenging Classical curriculum with our help: we provide lesson plans, testing, evaluating, conferencing and grading. We do not require that each student read exactly the same books (just as we do not require our teachers to teach the same books). We guide the ISP student in the selection and use of texts. Naturally, we assign and evaluate math problems, science projects, computer programs and papers. We assist with every phase of planning, from the individual lesson to the student's plans for college. We can tailor curricula to give students credit for a wide variety of useful experiences. Why not give a child music credit for his rock band or science credit for a project entered into a national contest?
This program, modeled after Oxford’s educational system, enables students to have a completely individualized curriculum. They meet once a week for tutorials that include continuing lesson planning, correction of homework and testing, advice to improve performance and college counseling. We charge by the hour studied each quarter for these services.
