Our Compass

In the movie, Mr. Holland's Opus, the lead character slowly comes to realize that his life teaching is as worthy as a life writing orchestral music. His school's Principal gives him a compass to point the direction he had found in life. Our compass is not a set of directions students must follow blindly: it is a navigational device that lets them plot their own journeys. We also equip students with maps that show them where -- in the lands of education -- others have gone before. We hope to place teachers who have found their sense of direction in touch with students who seek support in their spiritual and intellectual development.

What does our corporate name mean? Our client-friendly service lets you choose subject matter and teaching methods offered by numerous able instructors at a time and place of your convenience. The intellectually-diverse tutors at the School of Choice are free to choose their own values, educational philosophy and teaching standards. This academic freedom helps tutors to help students develop excellent values and standards of their own. Considering the deficiencies in the educational system and the supportiveness of our instructors, we believe the School of Choice may, in fact, mean the "best school" for most students.
